We're back from Nicaragua. After a long day of traveling, we arrived in Sacramento lat last night. We've got lots of stories to share and we'll get some of those stories posted over the next few days. For now, we'll just put up a smattering of Pics to give you a glimpse of our Adventure.

Good News and Bad News

The good news is that we made it to Managua without any problems and that we have had a wonderful time so far learning about the history and culture of Nicaragua. The leaders from El Porvenir are delightful and we can all tell that this is going to be a trip to remember.

The bad news is that we will not have internet access for the next 6 days so we will not be able to update the blog or share any photos for a while. We are leaving this afternoon for San Lorenzo where we will be stationed for the work project.

Pray for our health and safety. Pray for meaningful relationships to be developed within the team and with the people we meet here. Pray for God´s guidance and grace.

The Adventure Will Soon Begin

Only a few more days until our team from Emmaus takes off for Nicaragua. We leave at the crack of dawn on Saturday Morning from Sacramento.  After a 5 hour layover in Houston, we be back on a plane looking to reach Managua, at about 8PM.  On Sunday we'll be travel by car to San Lorenzo which will serve as our base camp for the work project that we'll begin on Monday.

If you are interested in keeping up with the team's adventure, check us out right here. We will attempt to blog daily (although at this point we're not sure how often we'll have internet access.) Thanks for keeping us in your prayers as we set off to build some relationships, build a lavandero (more about this to come) and be shaped by God in the process. Pray for our team to experience and show the love of Christ as we minister this week.
